A great day in Sevilla
Yesterday was a great day. I woke up and first went to school to take a placement test and take a tour around campus. There were so many cats in was a nightmare. I don't know how I will do all semester. After school my house mate Erica and I went for a run/ walk around Montequinto, the town next to us. It was great, we were able to go up this hill and see all of Sevilla from it. Later we met up with a couple of girls that live just a few houses away from us and we caught the metro into the city. There we met up with a couple other girls and went to a hospital with a famous chapel inside it. Looking from the outside it doesn't look anything like a hospital but apparently it is still up and running. From there we went to an Irish pub that we were meeting a tour group at, for exchange students, and have cerveazas while we were waiting. Beer and wine is so cheap here. A beer is 1 or 1.50 euro (about 2 dollars) and wine is the same price. And that's for good beer and good wine. I was able to meet a lot of people on the tour, which I though was fantastic. We went to a town next to the city where Ernest Hemingway use to live and other famous writers/ painters. It was so gorgeous. Sevilla at night is all lit up and beautiful. The end of the tour was at a Hookah bar (no hookah involved in the last part) but there we sat on little cushions on the floor and they served us either chi or mint tea. I got the Chi and it was very good. We caught the metro back and ate dinner then Erica and I chatted for a while. What a good day!
